This session is about understanding and managing workplace diversity. Diversity in the workplace means hiring and supporting employees that reflect with a wide range of backgrounds, and where everyone is expected to acknowledge and accept each other’s differences. Having a diverse workforce is a good thing, but it can also present some challenges.

Supervisors have an important role in effectively managing workplace diversity so that our organization can attract and retain high-quality employees who enjoy contributing to a respectful and productive workplace.

To get the most from employees of diverse backgrounds, you must demonstrate and encourage respect for all employees’ abilities and perspectives.

In this session, you will learn how to engage and lead a diverse workforce, promote our commitment to diversity, and avoid workplace discrimination and harassment based on diversity.
