Course description

The New York Human Rights Law (NYHRL) and New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL) require all employers to provide employees with interactive sexual harassment prevention training every year. This course helps employees and supervisors understand what sexual harassment is and how it affects people and the workplace, what can be done to prevent sexual harassment, and what must be done if it occurs.

Course Duration: 80 min

Learning objectives:

At the completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
  • Define sexual harassment and its negative effects in the workplace
  • Outline steps you and your employer can take to prevent and respond to sexual harassment
  • Describe the responsibilities of a supervisor in creating a workplace free from sexual harassment
  • Identify and adhere to sexual harassment laws and policies specific to the state of New York
  • Identify and adhere to sexual harassment laws and policies specific to New York City
