Course description

Sometimes, it’s the things you don’t think of at all that you need to pay attention to the most-like cluttered hallways or poorly stacked boxes; faulty cords, or that space heater under your desk. In fact, a surprising number of accidents and injuries occur in offices just like yours every day. In this training session, we’ll look at some of the most common office hazards so you understand the precautions you need to take to stay safe at work.

Learning objectives:

At the completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
  • Identify the hazards you might encounter in an office environment
  • Recognize the emergency alarms and signals in your workplace
  • Take appropriate steps during an emergency
  • Follow safety precautions to prevent fires; electrical hazards; and slips, trips, and falls
  • Safely stack and store materials
  • Identify risk factors for ergonomic injuries, and take steps to prevent them
