Course description
This training session will cover the safe use and handling of fire extinguishers. Fire extinguishers are a big part of safety in the workplace, in the home, on construction sites, and even in vehicles. This training session is intended for all employees who are permitted or expected to use portable fire extinguishers for incipient-stage firefighting in the workplace.
The main objective of this session is to teach you how to use a fire extinguisher correctly and how to select the right extinguisher for different kinds of fires.
Esta sesión de capacitación cubrirá el uso y la manipulación seguros de los extintores de incendios. Los extintores de incendios son una parte importante de la seguridad en el lugar de trabajo, en el hogar, en obras de construcción e incluso en vehículos. Esta sesión de capacitación está dirigida a todos los empleados que tienen permitido o se espera que usen extintores de incendios portátiles para combatir incendios en etapa incipiente en el lugar de trabajo.
El objetivo principal de esta sesión es enseñarle cómo usar un extintor de incendios correctamente y cómo seleccionar el extintor adecuado para distintos tipos de incendios.

- Determinar si se debe extinguir un incendio o si es necesario evacuar;
- Identificar diferentes clases de incendio;
- Elegir el tipo de extintor adecuado;
- Recordar cómo usar correctamente un extintor de incendios; y
- Inspeccionar y dar mantenimiento a los extintores de forma adecuada.
