Course description

For most healthy adults, seasonal viruses are not generally life-threatening. But respiratory illness pandemics, such as those caused by coronaviruses or influenza, are very serious. They often involve new strains of viruses to which people have developed no immunity. These kinds of viruses can spread quickly and widely, and they can pose a major global health threat. While some businesses and organizations may close during a pandemic, most healthcare facilities will remain open, and workers may be exposed to the virus frequently throughout the day.

This training course is for healthcare employees and provides information about how to prepare for and stay safe during an acute respiratory illness pandemic.
